After 3 Years of Trying...I Finally Feel Complete!

I wont make my post super long but I do want to reach out to those women who have been trying for a long time and are just about ready to give up...

I am 29 and my husband is 33 - I got my BFP on December 6th after 3 hard years of trying to get pregnant. I watched my friends have kids and was actually in the delivery room with my younger sister for my nephew, with every pregnancy around me I was of course happy for them but so sad at the same time.

Side Note: I was on fertility drugs for about 9 months in my second year of trying- large doses of clomid and metformin..nothing worked and I was basically told I would never conceive naturally. They were wrong!

I took a pregnancy test on December 6th because it was my husbands work Christmas party that night and I had planned to have drinks - so just to be cautious I took a pregnancy test just to make sure I wasnt pregnant so I could drink.
To my absolute SHOCK I had a positive pregnancy test, the second line showed up within ten seconds. My husband was already gone to work so I literally ran around the house crying and hugging our dog (fur baby). I honestly had no idea, thinking back now I may have had some symptoms...but nothing that would have prompted me to buy a test. So when some women post that they had no symptoms and not to give up...it's completely true.

Because of fertility issues that I had for years, my doctor insisted I have an ultrasound at 6 weeks pregnant. I cant explain the feeling when the tech said to me "do you want to see your baby" and then "do you see that fluttering? That is your baby heart beat".

When I read these stories I was always curious about what they did differently, well if I did do anything differently it was this:

1. I lost 70 pounds, I really feel like this made a significant difference. I was overweight and it was affecting my ovulation or lack there of.

2. I ate a lot healthier and worked out twice a day (on my lunch break and after work)

3. I hated when other people said it BUT I had honestly decided to just "give up"...whatever will be will be.

There is so much more that I could write...if anyone would like to reach out to me please feel free to. I know the pain of negative tests month after month.
