Hello Ladies!

The past 14 months have been extremely long. I've spent many hours on this website reading other people's stories and am so excited to finally share mine!

Before I do, though I just want to say that I fully appreciate everyone's TTC journey and how hard it can be and also how lonely with month after month of BFNs while all your friends are getting pregnant just by rolling over in bed. And even though it's through the magic of the inter-webs, I think it's really important to share these stories…so that we know we aren't alone :).

Okay, the good stuff! Me: 31, DH: 29. Both healthy, very active. TTC since November of 2012. I just started with a Fertility Clinic in December, the testing I've had so far is: preliminary blood work, DH sperm analysis (perfect), Ultrasound (found very large subserosal fibroid "obstructing" right ovary) and Sonohysterogram (right tube determined to be blocked for unknown reasons, left tube clear). We sat down with the Dr. to come up with a path forward and decided to try IUI + Clomid for the next few cycles and if that didn't work she would refer me for a Lap to rule out endometriosis. Before I left she mentioned that I had a large follicle growing on my left (15mm on CD11) which was the clear side, so I should go ahead and try this month and we did! Here were my symptoms:

CD11: Sono, Dr. tells us to wait 2 days and then BD.
CD13: BD (due to DH shift schedules, just the one time!)
CD13: I'm going to assume I O'd this day even though that's not confirmed.
1DPO/2DPO: Out downtown with my girlfriends
3 DPO: Home in bed hungover (ooops)
4 DPO - 8 DPO: nothing
9 DPO: this fell on a Saturday when I usually do my long runs (I was training for a marathon), so this day I ran 26 km and went to a curling tournament with DH in the PM. Halfway through the evening I suddenly started to feel incredibly ill. I felt so flushed and feverish, everyone commented on how red my face was. I had chills and just couldn't get warm. Finally, I felt so nauseous I made my husband take me home where I vomited and passed out on the couch. Now, this may be a symptom, maybe not. I did have a really long run that morning in very cold temperatures (-15 deg. C) followed by a long curling tournament. But on the other hand I've run this distance many, many times and regularly. So I think it's still worth mentioning
10 DPO: Still feeling the side effects of the weekend, feverish in the AMs, chills all day, slightly nauseous
11 DPO: start to get pre-AF cramps and other pre-AF symptoms. Sore bb's, bloating, gassy, all very very normal for me. CM alternating very wet and very dry. Am convinced AF is on her way. i just want to mention that my symptoms were 100% identical to my pre-AF symptoms.
12 DPO: Wake up cramps and grumpy. I am expecting AF today. I've never had an LP longer than 12 days. Also, I've never had an LP with zero spotting. Not even a hint of spotting. I generally at least have some brown discharge a day or so before AF arrives. This month: not a thing. Crampy all day, exactly like AF cramps, bloated, sore BB's. CM extremely watery and clear.
13 DPO: STILL no AF. Wake up with less cramping, bloating and sore BB's than the day before. Feel totally normal except my abs feel like I've done a million crunches! I try not to read too much into it because I'm not sure when I ovulated so am not quite sure what DPO it is. CM 'normal' not very dry, not very watery, not like EWCM.
14 DPO: Wake up feeling great…except for the fact that I still have no AF! Abs still very sore, stomach feel sort of full and stretched like I've been drinking a lot of water. Obsess over the fact that I could be preggers. DH picks up a test on the way home (FRER). Take it immediately (didn't hold my urine, didn't wait for FMU) and INSTANT SECOND LINE! Almost as dark as the first!

I'm still in shock! We are thrilled! I told my sister in law and my husband's parents. I can't wait to tell mine! Going to the Dr. tomorrow to confirm via blood test. Hoping this is going to stick and that the test is real! I can hardly believe it!
