I promised myself I would post here if I ever got a BFP (was giving up hope and looking to start fertility treatments in June). So I am 33, have occasional anovulatory cycles, extremely regular periods (never missed one until now), late ovulation, a short luteal phase and am underweight. I am also estrogen dominant. DH and I have been trying for 2 years in vain. This month, I stopped tracking ovulation and relaxed. I also took Femaprin for the first time, which I believe was the game-changer for me. I had been taking Vitex for many months but I think I needed the stronger kick that Femaprin delivers. Also been taking a prenatal vitamin and Ubiquinol. Vitex has been a blessing, as it not only gave me this BFP but greatly reduced hormonal face and chest acne and skin oiliness. My face has brightened up, pinker and healthier. Highly recommend. I also cut out colas, ate healthier, reduced caffeine and started yoga.
I also highly recommend tracking bbts every once in a while, if not every month, to learn about your cycle, as it was through bbt tracking that I learnt of my late ovulation and was able to time BD better and also diagnose what my hormonal issues might be, what fixes I needed, and whether the fixes were solving the problem or not. Also recommend a Transvaginal US to understand whats going on inside your baby concerned body, it was through a month of tracking in this way that I learnt of my occasional anovulation. Learning about my body and the various supplements and lifestyle changes that I might need has really helped me crack this problem.
