In Aug. of 2012 I got a tubal reversal and once my cycles were back to normal in Dec. 2012, my DH and I started trying to conceive. DH has no children but I have 3 from a previous marriage. I had a lot of complications after the surgery and had to get the incision reopened... blah blah blah. Well my husband ended up deploying in September of 2013 but came back in April 2014 due to an injury ( 7 months no BDing). Luckily he came home right during my "fertile" phase. CD 1 began on 15 April and AF ended 19 April (CD 5). I never been the one to temp or anything else (maybe that's y it took so long) but we BD'd on the 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, 28th, 30th, 1st of may, 3rd of may and so forth (you get the picture, he was just coming home :D). Well I really had no symptoms up until about 9DPO (may 7th) and even then the only symptoms that I really had was pelvic pressure, lower back aches, headaches,extreme thirst and frequent urination. I took a FRER HPT on mothers day about 2am which would have been 13DPO for me and it was a faint positive. I was excited but not too excited as I had experienced chemical pregnancies before. The next day I took a clear blue digital HPT and it was negative (maybe my hcg levels were too low). The day after I started experiencing bleeding which lasted 2 1/2 days (so not normal for me) then started back late on the 15th and ended on early morning of the 16th. I had completely given up but i still noticed pelvic pressure. I had just brought an ovulation kit and decided that my cycle was starting all over again. I took the clear blue digital ovulation test this morning with fmu (1 day after bleeding stopped) and it showed that i was in my peak fertile period. It was odd to me because i didn't think you can ovulate right after AF especially with such a normal cycle as what I have. Well we Bd'd to say the least and even though I excepted the fact that we were starting another month of ttc I still felt down. Later this morning i was doing research and found that ovulation kits can detect HCG/pregnancy and that LH and HCG are pretty much identical but HPTs can't detect LH. So with that information and knowing that the ovulation test showed me at my peak, i decided to give it one last try and take my very last clear blue digital pregnancy test and within 1 minute it read "PREGNANT". My DH didn't believe me at first but now he is super freaking excited.
We got our BFP after TTC for 2 years.
